Cancel an Appointment
AgileEMR: Cancel an Appointment
PLEASE NOTE: An appointment can only be cancelled when there is no documentation (completed nor in-progress) for the visit, and when the appointment is not arrived/acknowledged.
- Go to the Schedule (Make sure you are accessing the correct location)
- Find the Appointment on the Schedule and click on it.
- Select Cancel/No-Show
- Select the Outcome
- Cancelled
- No-Show
- Entry Error
- COVID-19
- Select if all future appointments need to be cancelled.
- Select a reason
- Supervisor Cancelled
- Patient Cancelled
- Unknown
- Write a Note in which why the patient canceled in the Notes section.
- Select "Cancel Appointment"
Note: If you cancel an appointment and it is OUTSIDE of the 24 hour period, it will not count it as a "true" cancelled appointment and you will not be able to see it on the schedule with the "Show Cancelled" button.
- If you have cancelled an appointment and need to make sure that it was cancelled for the right reason, you can display all appointments (cancelled and otherwise) from the appointment tab within a patient's case.
- Click on the appointment tab within the patient's case.
- Under Cancelled, Select "Yes" from the drop-down
- This will display all appointments that have been cancelled and the reasoning behind the cancellation.
