Patient Overview
AgileEMR: Patient Overview
Selecting the Spyglass will open a Patient Overview of all cases for the existing patient. The Overview includes basic Patient Information, Contact Information, HIPAA Authorized Contacts, and Case History.
- The patient’s name, date of birth, and MRN number are located at the top of the page.
HIPAA Authorized Contacts
The HIPAA Authorized contacts can be found directly next to the Contact Information. This gives the user quick access to View, Edit, and Archive the contact information. It also gives the user the ability to view the date the Patient signed the Privacy Practice Notice, and the ability to update or change it.
Case History
Case History will allow the user to view how many cases the patient has, the status of the case, the clinician for each one, first and last dates of service, and the insurance used. It will also show the primary diagnosis of each case, and the account balance.
Select the Case ID number to view the case in detail.
- Previous cases which have been Discharged will show a status of “D/C.”
- Current cases will show an “Active,” status.
If the patient has been seen before, always check to see if they have a previous balance.
Navigation Tab
The Navigation Tab located to the left of the Patient Overview screen allows the user to view and edit the Patient’s Contacts, view the Patient Profile and current Schedule, and Merge Patient Cases.
Patient’s Contacts
By selecting the Patient’s Contacts from the Navigation Tab, the user will be able to view the name, relationship, and if the contact is HIPAA Authorized for them. It will also give the user quick access to View, Edit, and Archive the contact information.
Patient Profile
The Patient Profile, located under the Reports header, gives a PDF overview of the following basic information:
