Making Corrections to the Initial Evaluation

**NOTE: You can only edit the Initial Evaluation up until a Progress Note is completed

The Initial Evaluation document is part of a PDF Versioning feature that allows a user to correct mistakes within the document after signing. 

To edit an Initial Evaluation you will go to the HTML version of the document by clicking on the Blue Spyglass Icon next to it under the Signed Documents header in the Documentation Tab of the case.

In the Initial Evaluation scroll down to the Signature section and click on the Open & Edit Initial Evaluation & Plan of Care button.

The entire document will then reopen and a Re-Sign Initial Evaluation work queue task will be added to the Admin Work Queue. 

  • Make edits within each section as necessary

When finished making the corrections: 

  • Open the Signature section
  • Check the Patient Agreement Checkbox
  • Preview the Plan of Care
  • Provide a Reason for Edit- This note will not be included on the PDF, it is HTML version only
  • Enter 4-Digit PIN
  • Click on the Re-Sign and Submit button

This will create two versions of the document. You can view these within the Case Files Tab of the case. This way a historical account of the prior document is saved to the database and a reason for edit is still included on the HTML version of the document. Be sure the most current version is being sent if needed.
